Reimagining Education

The Community Behind the Advocacy – Summer with CEAM

As CEAM’s parent advocacy program has demonstrated its effectiveness and staying power over time, a community of advocates has grown across the state. While they are spread out, we do everything we can to bring as many together whenever we can.

This summer, The Children’s Education Alliance of MO (CEAM) hosted a series of events for our dedicated volunteers, combining fun and advocacy.

Ice Cream Socials in Kansas City and St. Louis

Our ice cream socials were a big hit, drawing families, friends, and supporters together to enjoy delicious treats from local ice cream trucks. These gatherings were also an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the legislators who have been supporters of school choice. We awarded these champions for their commitment to expanding educational opportunities for all children in Missouri though Senate Bill 727.

Family Fun at The Muny

CEAM families also enjoyed musicals at The Muny, experiencing the magic of live theater in the heart of St. Louis. The theater generously gave us tickets for seven different performances, each offering a memorable experience. From classic musicals to contemporary hits, there was something for everyone.

These events underscored the importance of community for our families at CEAM. They provided our volunteers and their families with the chance to relax, enjoy, and connect with one another outside of our regular advocacy work.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made these events so special. Your enthusiasm and support are what make our community strong and our mission possible. Here’s to more fun and meaningful gatherings in the future!
