Latasha is a hardworking mom who believes in the importance of education. Unfortunately, Latasha and her family reside in an unaccredited school district and the educational options for her children are limited by their zip code.
One by one Latasha sent her children off to start school at their only option, the traditional neighborhood school. It was not until their district lost their accreditation in 2012 that Latasha was finally able to access choice.
CEAM stood with Latasha and guided her through a complicated transfer process that included ever-changing paperwork, permits and requirements. In 2013, Lastasha enrolled her children in a high quality district where her kids now feel safe, supported and passionate about learning!
Having access to quality choice has changed the lives of all her children for the better. She has seen a dramatic change in her Kindergarten graduate Ty’Rek whose energetic personality and love for reading are embraced and fostered at his new school.
