MOScholars Applications for the ’25/’26 School Year

Navigating the MOScholars K-12 scholarship process can be a bit overwhelming so to make things easier, we’ve outlined the key steps and deadlines to ensure you don’t miss out on this valuable opportunity.

If you’re a current scholarship recipient, be on the lookout for an email from your Educational Assistance Organization (EAO) with your renewal survey—there’s no need to reapply! For new applicants, preparation is key since scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Read on for essential tips to get your paperwork ready and secure your spot.

For NEW applicants:

The MOScholars K-12 scholarship is first come first serve so it is important to understand the process and get your paperwork ready in advance so you complete the application as quickly as possible to reserve your spot on the waitlist.

STEP 1: Look up your Educational Assistance Organization (EAO) associated with your school to get started with a pre-qualification survey. If you qualify, they will then send you the application. For most EAO’s, you will be able to start the process on February 1st at 12:01 AM. You may be able to sign up for emails now. You can find the full application process with a list of schools and links to their EAO’s here.

STEP 2: Get your paperwork together! For a full list of documents required, scroll to page four of the Parent Handbook here.

Special note for families who qualify based on income and not entering KG or 1st grade: you will need to prove that you are coming from a public school by providing your student’s DESE MOSIS ID. This is the state student ID, not the district student ID. Call your district TODAY to get your MOSIS ID #. February 1st lands on a Saturday so you will not be able to call your district the day the applications open. If you qualify because your student has an IEP you will not need this ID number nor will you need paperwork to prove household income.

**IMPORTANT**

  • CEAM is not able to look up your application to provide a status update. Keep checking your email for updates from your EAO.
  • EAO’s are required to prioritize scholarship renewals and siblings of recipients before opening it up to new scholarship families.
  • Funds are limited and your completion of the application does not guarantee you a scholarship. With renewals as a priority, it may take a couple of months or longer to find out if you have been approved for a scholarship.
  • After you have been approved, it can take until the fall to receive the funds. Please keep on the lookout for emails from your EAO.
